We don’t spend much time covering the ATP or WTA unless there is something that can truly help the club/recreational level player.
But, the Alcaraz/Sinner final IMO gives us a clear contrast for everyone to see. It appears to me that Sinner’s forehand is often fluffed up, a bit too loopy, and sits up on impact. The Alcaraz forehand in contrast is heavier, penetrates the court better and bites on impact.
Note that I don’t yet have quantitative metrics like ball speed and spin, just a qualitative observation. As the saying goes though, “the ball doesn’t lie”.
